On may 2nd we explored with 15 people from the region and from far away the old distillery. Speculative fiction author and queer ecologist Kes Otter Lieffe invited us to dive deep into our hopes.

What beautiful changes might happen to this place currently called Haus des Wandels? What stories can we tell that are so compelling that collective liberation becomes inevitable? How do we build access for the most marginalised among us? And do the the birds have a say? The water, the stones? As we explore our hopes and fears, let’s support each other to imagine better worlds. As we grow our practices of care, we work towards those dreams, here and now. We shouldn’t underestimate the power of dreams. Imagination and story-telling are critical elements of change, inspiring us and keeping us oriented towards the futures we long for. Without stories to guide our movements and lives, we are lost.
